Effective May 27, 2025, the Ministry of Communications and Digital Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia (KOMDIGI), through the Directorate General of Digital Infrastructure (DJID), has officially approved Nemko Korea Co., Ltd. as a recognized foreign testing laboratory under the Mutual Recognition Arrangement (MRA) framework.
This approval enables Nemko Korea to issue test reports that are valid for device certification submissions to DJID Indonesia, streamlining the market entry process for global manufacturers.
Background: MRA Between Indonesia and Korea
This appointment is based on the Mutual Recognition Arrangement between:
- The Ministry of Communications and Informatics of Indonesia
- The Ministry of Science and ICT of the Republic of Korea
The MRA, signed on May 27, 2024, facilitates international cooperation in telecommunication equipment conformity assessment, allowing pre-approved test labs from Korea to support certification in Indonesia.
Scope of Testing Authorized for Nemko Korea
Nemko Korea (Lab ID: KOR-001) is designated for testing in accordance with the following Indonesian technical standards:
- Ministerial Decree No. 544/2021 – Unmanned Aircraft Devices
- Ministerial Decree No. 5/2024 – LPWAN (Non-Cellular Low Power Wide Area Network Devices)
- Ministerial Decree No. 260/2024 – Short Range Devices (under 40 GHz)
- Ministerial Decree No. 12/2025 – Radio Local Area Network (RLAN) & Class Licensed Spectrum
- Ministerial Decree No. 46/2025 – Wireless Power Transmission Devices
Validity of Designation
- Validity is 2 years starting from: May 27, 2025 to May 26, 2027
- Validity is contingent upon continued ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation.
